The Blue Hydrangea is a 28-acre equine and retreat center in Lovettsville, Virginia, offering quality horse boarding in a peaceful, grounded setting. Our care is personal, trauma-informed, and structured to support both the horse and the human.
We welcome horses of all backgrounds — from easygoing trail companions, rescued mustangs and sensitive souls in need of healing space, and competitive athletes and fox hunters.
Stalls and Boarding
We currently offer a small number of full-care boarding spots with the following features:

12x12 matted stalls in a well-ventilated barn

Pasture or high-quality timothy/orchard hay offered 3x daily

Daily turnout in rotated, grassy pastures or paddocks (weather permitting)

Twice-daily grain feedings

Blanketing and fly spraying included

Fans in summer, heated automatic waterers in stalls for winter

Tack room, grooming area, and wash stall with hot and cold water

Routine communication, thoughtful updates, and no drama
Our barn is quiet, clean, and professional. We keep things small to offer meaningful care and a low-stress experience for both horse and owner.
